Working Together for Barre

I live and work here in Barre City, and I believe passionately in our shared future.

I am running to represent Ward 2 on City Council because I want to make sure our city government is responsive, responsible, and making smart investments.

More About Me

I’m a historian who studies Vermont history, and who has researched and written about a little bit of everything. My personal research interests are in military and equestrian history.

My husband and I fell in love with our house in Barre City in 2015, and have worked on it together since then.

In 2018, I founded a small online business that builds on my love of horses, which has grown every year since then.

I’ve always found a way to give back to whatever community I’m part of. I’ve served on boards, volunteered, and contributed to organizations like Pony Club, Destination Imagination, and more.

Ideas for Barre

Communication & Feedback

Your voice matters, and I’ll make sure it’s heard at City Council. It’s important for everyone to know how the City is planning for their neighborhoods and for the future. It’s just as important that citizen feedback is part of that process.

Responsible & Balanced Spending

It‘s possible to invest in the future without overtaxing the present, and we need to find a thoughtful balance.

Resilient Flood Recovery

We can build back stronger, together. We know that Barre needs smart planning to understand its rivers, build more resilient housing, and be ready for future disasters.

Planning for the Future Together

Barre City has an incredible future ahead. The way we get there is as a community, together. We can do so much to build connection, strengthen neighborhoods, and invest in people.
